British Modern Remade, Arts Council, 2012
Design of publication, British Modern Remade. Style. Design. Glamour. Horror. With Jackson Lam. Produced to accompany an exhibition, showcasing the Art Councils’ collection of British Modernist artwork at the newly developed Brutalist Park Hill, Sheffield. The publication design takes inspiration from Park Hill before and after its redevelopment, looking at the juxtaposition between old and new, glamour and horror. The typeface is an adaption of Granby, a typeface produced by Sheffield based foundry, Stephenson Blake. The adaptation of the typeface was inspired by a typeface created by Martin Boyce, one of the exhibiting artists.
