Visual identity and pattern development for online shop, Godwin Vaughan.

Godwin Vaughan sources crafted timeless pieces of design from key movements such as the Arts & Craft movement, Weiner Werkstatte and Memphis. In tandem, the brand creates it own objects in close collaboration with artists and craftsmen, starting with one of the found objects as a point of inspiration. The brand aims to build a bridge between the past and present to preserve the importance of yesterday’s craftsmanship in contemporary life.

Taking one of the key brand influences, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Stinsensqueeze borrowed the gridular framework from Makintosh’s Hill House chair as the basis to develop the brand identity. This structure gave form to the brand’s bespoke typeface, logo and decorative ornaments, which were all brought together to form the design of the brand blanket.

Focusing on the notion of craft, all the brand stationery was produced using the traditional process of letterpress.
