Design of typeface for Issey Miyake’s special edition fragrance, Shades of Paradise.

As part of their annual special edition fragrance, Issey Miyake invited the perfumer Aurelien Guichard and colour designer Mei Hua to formulate the summer  range of scents. The collection of 4 was inspired by moments of time shared by the pair during a research trip to Zamani Island. To reflect this notion of time and the idea of the moment, the typeface was generated from the structure of a clock, letters frozen in time.
