Publication design for Pass the Spoon, a libretto by David Shrigley, David Fennessy and Nicholas Bone opera, for Hayward Publishing.

The publication draws upon and upsets the traditional design of the opera libretto, infusing it with David Shrigley’s playful nature by referencing cookery books, in particular those by Fanny Craddock. In this way Pass the Spoon teeters between the boundaries of formal and informal design.
